Jeanne & George Foster
2024 Epsom Citizen of the Year

George & Jeanne Foster have been active members of the Epsom community for decades. They have supported Town events and sponsored Epsom youth sports teams with sponsorship's from their business as well as other local non profit organizations.  George is a long time American Legion member, former Legion officer, and was an active Boy Scout leader. They volunteer at Legion events, including the suppers. George is a member of the Odd Fellows and a long time supporter of the organization. Jeanne is a member of the Rebekah's  as well as a Fire Auxiliary member. They donate prizes and their time for the annual fishing derby. Jeanne has been a part of the Variety Shows to support the Odd Fellows and their business donates to support the shows. Jeanne loves to perform in the local shows and everyone enjoys watching her. She is a fixture in the local variety shows with her costumes and antics. Jeanne has served as a Ballot Clerk for decades and has supervised and trained Ballot Clerks for most of the Town elections.

The Foster's have always participated in Town activities and have done benefit auctions fo community organizations. They share vegetables and flowers from their garden with neighbors and the elderly. Jeanne enjoys sending birthday cards and visiting the local nursing home, attending the Town Band concerts (where she sometimes can convince George to dance with her in Webster Park), attending Pembroke Academy basketball games, playing softball in the park, or just coming out to cheer those playing. The Fosters are fabulous Epsom citizens with a long history of support to our Town.
